International Day of Democracy

The International Day of Democracy is observed every year on September 15, with the purpose of promoting and upholding the principles of democracy. The values of freedom, respect for human rights, and the principle of holding periodic and genuine elections by universal suffrage are essential elements of democracy. Since this year the 15th falls on a Sunday, we will have our ASB elections on Friday the 20th.

The month of September has the biggest celebration for all Mexicans. Mexican Independence Day, celebrated on September 16th, is a vibrant holiday commemorating the start of Mexico's struggle for independence from Spanish rule in 1810. This day is rich with cultural traditions, historical significance, and an enduring sense of national pride. For educators, parents, and community leaders, it's an opportunity to share the spirit of Mexican Independence with children and students, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Mexico's history and culture. CBN Jr. high, will have “Mañanita Mexicana” were students will be presenting, performing and acting out various scenes that occurred before, during and after its independence.

Stay tune for the pictures of the events and for the future activities that CBN Jr. HIgh has prepared for you. Enjoy.
